THE MINI SESSIONS
If you’re looking for a West Seattle mini session, Lincoln Park is such a beautiful, low-stress option. The forested areas near the parking lot have tall trees and soft, even light that photographs really well (and keeps things comfortable for little kids, too). In the fall, you’ll get warm seasonal color mixed in with all the evergreen tones, which adds a nice bit of variety to your photos. That’s typically where sessions take place. The beach is also very close by, so if the lighting is right, we can use the waterfront as your backdrop (think overcast skies, close to sunset, or just after sunrise for that soft, flattering light). From the shoreline, you’ll often see ferries passing by, which makes for a classic Seattle backdrop. Everything is close together and easy to access, so your session feels relaxed from the start. Leashed dogs are welcome in the grassy and wooded areas, but are not allowed on the beach.

Yes. Lincoln Park is one of the more accessible spots for mini sessions. The areas where sessions typically take place are close to the parking lot and reached by wide, relatively flat paths. If you have specific mobility needs, feel free to let me know ahead of time and I can plan a location within the park that works best for you.

Although payments are non-refundable due to high demand of mini sessions, you are welcome to gift your session to a friend or family member if you're unable to make it. To keep myself and my other clients healthy, I do offer flexible rescheduling options for illness.

I'll keep an eye on the forecast, and if we're expecting rain, unsafe levels of smoke, or some other weather catastrophe, we’ll reschedule to a different date—something that’s sometimes necessary with Seattle weather conditions.! I'll send you a list of available dates/times. We should be able to get you rescheduled no problem, but if for some reason our schedules don't align, I'll give you a full refund.

Once you book, I’ll send a detailed style guide to help you choose outfits that photograph beautifully and feel like you. In general, neutral tones, soft colors, and coordinating (not matching) outfits work really well.

Yes! Lincoln Park is a great option if you’d like to include your dog. Leashed dogs are welcome in the grassy and forested areas where sessions typically take place. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beach, so if you’re bringing your pup, we’ll plan to stay away from the beach for your session.

What to know about your Lincoln Park mini session
At Lincoln Park, there are two main parking lots. The smaller lot closest to where mini sessions are typically held fills up quickly, especially on weekends. I highly recommend arriving early so you have plenty of time to find parking or walk over from the larger lot without feeling rushed before your session starts.
